Collecting personal information about you is essential to my ability to offer you high quality financial advice. In business, keeping personal information is important; in the financial industry, it is critical. I am dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal, business, and financial information.

     I want you to know why I ask for your personal information, how I use your personal information in establishing and maintaining your relationship with me, how I keep your personal information confidential and how you can inquire about the personal information I hold.

     This Privacy Code is based on the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and on the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information (CAN/CSA-Q830-96).

     At the time of request, I will collect only the information I need for the purposes that will be identified to you. My files are kept for the purpose of providing financial services that I believe are right for you. I will not sell or trade your personal information.

I collect personal information to fully understand your needs and goals, to offer you the full range of services that meet your changing needs and goals,
and fulfill regulatory or contractual requirements relating to the services provided to you.

     I will obtain written permission when I collect, use, or disclose your personal information. Your permission will be expressed in writing, even if it was first implied and you may give it to us verbally, electronically, or through your authorized representative. You may withdraw your permission to collect, use and disclose your personal information at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.

     I will obtain your consent before I make information available to third parties, unless otherwise permitted by law. I will tell you at the time I obtain your consent or before I make the information available, who those persons or organizations are, the kind of information I want to share with them and why.

 

    I will keep your personal information as long as it is necessary or as required by law. I will destroy personal information upon request, and I will use safeguards to prevent unauthorized parties from gaining access to the information during the process.

    I am responsible for all personal information in my possession, including information transferred to a third party service provider or agent, so that you can obtain a product or service.

   Access to your personal information is restricted to myself, employees I may retain, and authorized service providers who need it to do the tasks that you have requested of them. Any employee I retain is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all personal information to which they have access. Employees are required to sign a confidentiality agreement binding them to this responsibility which governs their actions, even if they leave or retire.

   You have the right to ask whether I hold any personal information about you and to see that information, as provided by law. You also have the right to know:

     1) How I collected your personal information,how I am using it, and to whom it may have been disclosed.

     2) If you believe any of the information I have collected about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to ask me to change it.

      I will never give out, sell or disclose your information to an outside source without prior permission from you.
